The View of The Sun from the Ancient World

Alex Ansary – OTBTV.Net

Various world religions and governments over time have dramatically altered the place in which the Sun is seen in our world from a divine heavenly being to a generalized demotion to nothing more than a ball of light (Video at bottom of page).

Today’s official scientific views on the Sun’s lack of influence on temperature changes come from mainstream climate change authorities or rulers pushing their views on science in a nearly religious tone. These modern institutions echo a tone that condemns other understandings or studies or beliefs of the Sun’s influence, showing us a troubling pattern existing throughout a great deal of human civilization. Whose running the show here?

Long before the advent of solar panels, ancient humans solar gazed, sun bathed and connected with the light while having a spiritual connection with what was considered a symbol of the creator if not the creator itself who was believed, through it’s kingdom of light, assisted mankind through its various angels or solar deities that came throughout the epochs as teachers of the light. Messengers of God. On a more simpler level, when the Sun rose it literally brought life and light to the world each day and pre-grid solar based societies aligned their lives with the Sun’s path as there were no nuclear power plants and battery powered smart phones and computers to keep us up later at night looking at false lights and truths. The lack of artificial light or dis-harmonic frequencies allowed a ongoing deeper connection to the Sun that much of humanity seems unable to reconnect with fully today unless they lose power or their devices.

Most of all the study of the positions of the Sun, the earth, and the moon have enabled our hunting ancestors to navigate their way through this reality.

This theme can be found worldwide in the lands before time and throughout the many bloodlines of man. The ancient respect for the Sun is the one thing that binds many of our ancestors. Its a understanding that can bring people of different background together today living under the same Sun.

The hidden and overt war on solar knowledge extends over time to war on various cultures or places on the planet that either live have lived historically closer to nature or carried on powerful teachings about the Sun. History shows a bloody trail of suppression of solar knowledge, continuing in some cases to this day within our own society in more subtle ways. The contemning spirit of Irenus seems to be channeling through various humans today continuing a timeless legacy of accusations of heresy to anyone operating or teaching spiritual concepts outside of what the rulers have determined right for society.

Some lands invaded today, were lands previously invaded a very long time ago in attempts to surpass this knowledge of the Sun raising subtle questions about karma that comes to kingdoms that wage on solar societies. As the world and it’s people appear in wreckage today, we look at the spiritual teachings of the past in order to understand how to find our freedom and empower our soul today. After all, we have no choice but to search for the truth when collective society is lost in the new dark ages of top trending media hypnosis programs as ‘Idiocracy’ the movie appears more like a documentary or a warning from a seer of the ancient world time traveling to our present day.

One book carefully details the history of solar studies and the price the researchers and spiritualists paid for with their lives including the murder of the Cathars in 13th century Europe. The declaration of “Kill them all, god will know his own” was declared as co-existing Christians and Cathars were killed together in a condemned city of light of old Europe. Gregory Sams details this period of early Christianity in his 2009 book, ‘Sun of God.’ He authored that work as solar cycle 24 woke back up, a pattern I am noting more in my own periods of increased solar studies and productivity.

His book compiles various solar mythologies of mankind that have buried by the sands of time. Going through the material, one might speculate if events like the solar anomaly 7500 years ago, as evidenced in tree rings, played a role in the later subtle rise in spiritual knowledge finding itself around the world from Greece, to Egpyt, to the Gnostics, to the mystical Sufi’s of the middle east.

Major turning points in world religions like Christianity center on the foundation of a standardized of their beliefs into a religion approved only by the ruling authorities that followed up with swift persecution of their own people and renegade spiritual leaders, much of it after the 3rd century A.D. Death came to the original followers of Jesus Christ, by those that claimed their army would enforce the only acceptable spiritual understanding or what was to be left of the bible. However not all references citing our Sun were removed and some lean towards providing us with the clues that we need.

The most recognized form of solar worship culture appropriation, is the replacing of Roman’s celebration of December 25th – a pagan day of annual solar rebirth. Today modern Christians say the ‘Son has risen’ with regards to a someone believed to share the same birthday as Mithra’s rebirth and festival of Sol Invictus.

Many of the world’s sacrificed godmen have their traditional birthday on December 25. During this time, people believed that the “sun god” had “died” for three days and was “born again” on December 25.

The following bible quotes were compiled by author D.M. Murdock/Acharya S from their ebook ‘Jesus as the Sun.’

Ancient Israel’s YAHWEH was associated with the Sun. In the Old Testament, God is depicted as the creator of and power behind the sun, thus making the solar orb an expression of God.

From Malachi 4:2: By “the sun of righteousness, the fathers, from Justin downward, and nearly all the earlier commentators understand Christ, who is supposed to be described as the rising sun”. This verse has been expressed also as “The Sun of Righteousness will arise with healing in his wings.”

Psalms 84:11: For the Lord God is a sun and shield.”

The New Testament itself contains a hymn fragment: “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

Clement of Alexandria wrote of “the Sun of the Resurrection, he who was born before the dawn, whose beams give light”.

John 1:9: “The true light that enlightens every man was coming into the world.” The “true light” is also discussed at John 8:12: Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Jesus’s role as the “light of the world” and “Sun of Righteousness” is elucidated at Matthew 17:2: “And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his garments became white as light.”

In the book of Revelation (1:7), we read about Jesus: “Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him,” much like the material sun.

As it was in Matthew, the face of Christ as the sun is likewise revealed at Revelation 1:16: “...in his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth issued a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength.”

Jesus’s astrotheological nature is further indicated at Revelation 22:16, in which he is equated with the “bright morning star”: “I Jesus have sent my angel to you with this testimony for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star.”

To paraphrase New Testament sentiment concerning Christ:

“I am the light of the world that every eye will see.”

St. Augustine (354-430)

The contention of Christian sun worshipping not only emerged early in Christian history but also lingered well into the fifth century, as St. Augustine was compelled to address it as well, in his “Tractate on the Gospel of John” (XXXIV, 2):I think that what the Lord says, “I am the light of the world,” is clear to those that have eyes, by which they are made partakers of this light: but they who have not eyes except in the flesh alone, wonder at what is said by the Lord Jesus Christ, “I am the light of the world.” And perhaps there may not be wanting some one too who says with himself:

Whether perhaps the Lord Christ is that sun which by its rising and setting causes the day?

For there have not been wanting heretics who thought this.

The Manichaeans have supposed that the Lord Christ is that sun which is visible to carnal eyes, exposed and public to be seen, not only by men, but by the beasts. But the right faith of the Catholic Church rejects such a fiction, and perceives it to be a devilish doctrine: not only by believing acknowledges it to be such, but in the case of whom it can, proves it even by reasoning. Let us therefore reject this kind of error, which the Holy Church has anathematized from the beginning. Let us not suppose that the Lord Jesus Christ is this sun which we see rising from the east, setting in the west; to whose course succeeds night, whose rays are obscured by a cloud, which removes from place to place by a set motion: the Lord Christ is not such a thing as this. The Lord Christ is not the sun that was made, but He by whom the sun was made. For “all things were made by Him, and without Him was nothing made.” (Augustine, 200. Emph. Added.)

Some of the most attacked books during the standardization of state sanctioned christian beliefs included the the Pistis Sophia, one of the original Gnostic texts to be discovered in Egypt in 1769, yet it’s core spiritual message remains mostly unknown to the world. Some of the scenes include a cosmic traveling Jesus returning to reach for a period of 11 years after claiming to have passed through the five inner planes of light to the top level of the ‘treasure of light’ where the true creator can be found. The largest divine body of light in the sky, that is often written about in these teachings, is often interpreted to be our Sun. The following is a passage from author April D. DeConick of The Gnostic New Age (2016):

From page 320: “The first and second books of Jeu complement each other in that they are Gnostic liturgical handbooks. Each contains directions for ritual activities that release the soul from the body and assist through the star gates. The final stop is the highest and innermost treasury of light, the house of Jeu.”

From page 322: “The later books of Jeuian collection, starting with the second book of Jeu and including all four books of Pistis Sophia, show a gradual shift in perceptions of God and the cosmos. The Father, Jeu, and the celestial treasuries are transposed into ever higher and more distant realms until the light treasuries become transcendent places outside the created cosmos. The celestial realms become populated by increasingly fearsome dark lords, becoming places of purgatory and instead, at death, to ascend immediately to the Sun, and then up into the transcendent treasuries of light. The treasures are the apartments of the unapproachable God, the ineffable Father of all Fathers.

The only way to attain safe passage to the penthouse suite is to learn the mysteries of Jeu through a long process of ritual initiation and then, at death, to use this knowledge to thwart the cosmic rulers. The group’s new books were written to give exact details about all the cosmic realms that the soul must pass through on it’s way to the now transcendent world of light.”

From page 326: “In the second century CE, the Jeuians emerged as a new Gnostic movement, a Egpytian solar cult whose mysteries were revealed by the Jesus of the fourth Gospel, but only after his resurrection. The focus of the movement was to provide initiates with the information, rites, and experiences, where Jeu, their solar God, resided.”

The world today is showing an increased fascination with the ancient religions and beliefs of the Sun and with what available information has been preserved by historians. The problem with the term “new age”, is it’s often used to attack people resurfacing ancient spiritual concepts that might not conform to someone’s religious views. On the other hand, there also are modern spiritual teachers and movements that do identify with the “new age” label that might arguable be teaching concepts devoid of true spirituality while actually teaching magic and means of manifestation for the self only. This way of misusing the elemental forces has always been warned against as well as working with unknown spirits not associated with the true creator. What we have is a new cycle which always been changes in new ideas and sometimes the term “new age” is simply used out of convenience to describe a time in which knowledge that previously was hidden or suppressed is now revealed. Unfortunately, mainstream society continues to confuse advanced intelligence or understandings with witchcraft or something alien or foreign.

New discoveries are being made all the time such as the use of advanced geometry found in the sun temple of Colorado’s Mese Verde, a national park that was once home to the Hopi Indians before their mysterious disappearance in the periods after 900 A.D. Colorado Public Radio reported that the building of the Sun Temple used a measurement similar to what the ancient Greeks and Romans used when they built their temples.

It should be noted that my perception of much of southern Colorado is that a ancient sun worshiping civilization at some point may have called this region home, perhaps much more than 11,000 years ago. My discovery of the article about Mese Verde came after. Therefore I do suspect many of the epic rock formations or carvings in the region may have deeper roots in the ancient world of which the landscape would have been much different at that time as well as the forms of life.

If the world of modern science misses particular discoveries about the ancient peoples and what they knew about the Sun, why then are they still viewed as absolute authorities of the solar influence over all things under the Sun?

What might the authorities doing behind the scenes today if we are affected energetically by the Sun but collectively unaware as they retain the deeper knowledge of the cycles?

South of Mese Verde, In Chaco Canyon, located in the Chaco Culture National Historic Park, N.M., several structures indicate the ancient culture’s understanding of the Sun’s movements as well.

A single day would be the smallest of the solar cycles and one in which this nation’s first peoples were intimately tied to. Native American spirituality often uses a medicine wheel which features stones places in all 4 of the cardinal directions with the center stone representing the soul. It also symbolizes the Father Sky, Mother Earth, and Spirit Tree—all of which symbolize dimensions of health and the cycles of life. The east stone is aligned with the rise of the Sun which is also represented by a eagle flying into the source of all life, returning to source itself. A blog by LonerWolf details the deeper meaning behind the 4 directions and the roles the ray’s summations play during various parts o the day:

“We discovered that the seasons came and went in cycles as did the Sun cycles and Moon phases, and we observed that even living beings like humans, trees and animals worked in cycles of births, death and rebirth.

East: The East represents the beginning, the ending, and the renewal. The East represents the moment of the sunrise, the blossoming of spring, the candle in the darkness. It is typically associated with the “upper world” of light, “enlightenment,” and returning back to our origin.

South: At the peak of the Sun’s journey through the sky, the South is the place that receives the most light; it is responsible for the growth and flowerings of all living beings. South is most often associated with the “flowing” of emotions as it is the polar opposite of the North. It symbolizes our inner child, our core wounds and the rediscovery of child-like wonder.

West: The West is a place of sunset, the return of the light to the dark. It is the autumn of our humanness, the end of our growing. The West symbolizes a place of transition, the ‘”dark night of the soul,” and the “shadow” within us that requires introspection and confrontation.

North: The North is a cold place of night, the winter of our growing period. To be centered in our internal North requires skill and competence to survive which is why it’s associated with our “mental” abilities, logic and beliefs.”

Anyone today can tap into the same solar spirituality using such principles of alignment throughout the day be they in a major city apartment or in the middle of nowhere. Isolation in America’s nature today by itself doesn’t not automatically connect people with spiritual knowledge and wisdom for that must be sought and desired. Plenty of parties and wars under the Sun show a amplifying nature to the Sun often misused and ignored rather than harnessed for the greatest good for the soul.

Across the globe to ancient Egyptians, the Sun God Ra was the most universally worshiped king of the gods and all-father of creation. He commanded a chariot that rode across the sky during the day, according to a NASA article on ancient solar worship societies. The magnificent temple at Karnak celebrates Ra through its enormous pillars, designed in harmony with the Sun and stars over a span of nearly 2000 years.

According to Britannica’s breakdown:

“In ancient Egypt the sun god Re was the dominant figure among the high gods and retained this position from early in that civilization’s history. In the myth relating the voyage of the sun god over the heavenly ocean, the sun sets out as the young god Kheper; appears at noon in the zenith as the full-grown sun, Re; and arrives in the evening at the western region in the shape of the old sun god, Atum. When the pharaoh Ikhnaton reformed Egyptian religion, he took up the cult of the ancient deity Re-Horakhte under the name o Aton, an older designation of the Sun’s disk. Under Akhenaton, the sun’s qualities as creator and nourisher of the Earth and its inhabitants are glorified.

The sun god occupied a central position in both Sumerian and Akkadian religion, but neither the Sumerian Utu nor the Semitic Shamash was included among the three highest gods of the pantheon. The sun was one of the most popular deities, however, among the Indo-European peoples and was a symbol of divine power to them.”

When I came across the alleged teachings of Thoth, they instantly appeared familiar in theme regarding some of the ideas regarding the Sun as a portal and ascending through the realms to the higher or true realm. Humanity itself is mystified at the legends of Thoth traveling around the world throughout time spreading knowledge to primitive societies. Treasure hunter and researcher Bill Gorman believes that some of the strange rock formations that’s photographed in Colorado maybe be depictions of Thoth made by Clovis Indians.

Bibliotecapleyades.net has a description of Thoth in relation to Ra, the Sun god:

“ When Ra retired from the earth, he appointed Thoth and told him of his desire to create a Light-soul in the Duat and in the Land of the Caves, and it was over this region that the sun god appointed Thoth to rule, ordering him to keep a register of those who were there, and to mete out just punishments to them.

Thoth became the representation of Ra in the afterlife, seen at the judgment of the dead in the ‘Halls of the Double Ma’at’. The magical powers of Thoth were so great, that the Egyptians had tales of a ‘Book of Thoth’, which would allow a person who read the sacred book to become the most powerful magician in the world.

The Book which “the god of wisdom wrote with his own hand” was, though, a deadly book that brought nothing but pain and tragedy to those that read it, despite finding out about the “secrets of the gods themselves” and “all that is hidden in the stars”.

My personal journey researching ancient clues on the known existence of many solar deities leads also to the conclusion that some of them could potentially be mischievous spirits poising as benevolent. Some spirits might also be able to temporarily poise as solar deities for only a limited time. Certain internal ques have kept me personally from engaging in connecting deeply with certain deities when researching them as I see no need to take such risks. In some cases boundaries have to be drawn as we investigate the many myths of mankind.

This work is not specializing a great deal on judging each of these entities as good or evil but rather identifies some of the more well known deity connections to the Sun that humanity is familiar with. The mythologies suggest a greater connection between the Sun and conscious entities of all kinds of sizes and abilities. There is no doubt that human history is probably ridiculed with solar, lunar or other deities that may have mislead mankind. Then we have the history of known empires lead by humans that may have falsely posed as solar deities with magical powers in order to control the masses. Some things under the Sun never change as today’s president’s are often photographed in particular manners so they appear to have a halo over their head or other perception of ‘light.’ Even if a human spirit is darkened, if their hair color matches the Sun, in some contexts to this day, the propaganda results are incredible in the area of using the media to engineer various forms of consent.

Modern solar deity fascination currently is being expressed through the Marvel Comics movie line with ‘Avengers Endgame’ being their latest in a line of films including Guardians of the Galaxy, a special effects superhero flix capitalizing on solar hero mythos ingrained within our DNA. I dont spent precious time on movies that I suspect are attempting to play on my imagination when I rather connect with the true angels or solar deities of the creator Sun God itself.

Like Native American Indian teachings of our Sun, Eastern Indian teachings also had specific spiritual understandings of our Sun and are known for influencing many other systems. According to Britannica’s section on India: “Surya, in Hinduism, both the Sun and the Sun god. Described also as a all seeing god who observes both good and evil deeds. He expels not only darkness but also evil dreams and diseases. Although in the Vedic period (1500–5th century BCE) several other deities also possessed solar characteristics, most of these were merged into a single god in later Hinduism. Surya was once ranked along with Vishnu, Shiva, Shakti, and Ganesha, and many temples dedicated to him are found throughout India. Those five deities are worshiped by a group of Brahmans (priests), the Smartas, but only a small group, the Saura sect, worships Surya as the supreme deity. He is, however, invoked by most Hindus, and the Gayatri mantra, uttered daily at dawn by many Hindus, is addressed to the Sun. Surya is commonly represented in a chariot drawn by seven horses or by a single horse with seven heads, holding full-blown lotuses, his head surrounded by a nimbus or by rays.”

In Buddhist cosmology, the bodhisattva of the Sun is known as Sūryaprabha (“having the light of the sun”)

One thing to note is a mathematical synchronicity that is every present is all avenues of this research. Many numbers come in and there are certain patterns that don’t make full sense to me now but there are clues. For example, 5 key inner realms of light are spoken of in the Gnostic literature as above, a group of Brahmans connects with 5 key solar deities. Meanwhile the center stone in the medicine wheel is the 5th. Many stars have 5 points. While I am no magician and steer away from certain areas of research or activity like the Kabbalah, I do take notes of patterns of numbers emerging even those occurring naturally in nature like the 13 petals now blooming on my Sunflowers outside as the 13 levels towards heaven are also spoken of esoterically. As we study and focus on certain mysteries, does our world send us natural and cosmic signs?

Earlier still, a sun worshiping tomb from 2500 years ago has been discovered by Chinese archaeologists. The site borders Afghanistan and Pakistan on the crossroads of the ancient silk road. The tombs have been dated about 300 years before China’s first Qin Dynasty. Space Daily reported in 2013 on the new discovery: “Eights tombs, each 6 feet in diameter, were arranged on a 100-yard by 50-yard platform, with lines of black stones and lines of white stones stretching alongside like sun rays, the archaeology team with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences said.

“The ray-like stone strings might imply sun worship. No similar ones have been detected before in all of Central Asia,” team leader Wu Xinhua said.

The people buried in the tombs might have been of high social status, the researchers said, because the black stones lined up with a certain pattern were a rare resource in the area and were likely carried to the tomb site from afar.”

Sun worship was apparently practiced in Pre-Islamic Arabia, abolished only under Muhammad. The Arabian solar deity appears to have been a goddess, Shams/Shamsun, most likely related to the Canaanite Shapash and broader middle-eastern Shamash.

Zarathustra Spitama rose to influence in the 18th century B.C. And his religion is believed to have been revealed through direct conversations with God. Alexander the Great’s invasion of the 4th century destroyed most of the history when their librarians and priests were killed. The creator God of Zoroastrians is Ahura Mazda, god of light and wisdom. Zoroastrian belief taught that God’s divine qualities are manifested in the universe and our living world.

Zoroastrian Cyrus the Great created the world’s first Bill of Rights and invaded Babylon in 570 B.C. Slavery was banned and freedom of religion upheld as private property was to be respected. The spread of Islam in the 8th century sent remaining followers scrambling into India.

Islam describes the formation of the stars and recognizes our Sun as connected to or apart of the creator’s solar system. Below are some verses taken from Quora.com:

“The Hour will not begin until the sun rises from its place of setting. When it rises from its place of setting, all people will believe, but on that day ‘no good will it do to a person to believe then, if he believed not before,’ [al-An’aam 6:158].”

And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing” [Ya-Seen 36:38]

Muslims have their own prophecy for the Sun one day rising in the WEST, not the EAST sounding oddly like a pole shift or some other major earth changing event.

Sufis, like Gnostics Christians, are mystical variants of their mainstream counterparts. They offer more spiritual, less dogmatic interpretations and expressions of their faith. A Renaissance of Sufi poetry such as Rumi and other authors towards to 10th century laid out for us volumes of books documenting the depth of thought expressed at the time, often in remote areas where many leading sufi writers lived quietly in exclusion during dangerous times and periods.

The solar connection is made in the moving mediation activity known as Sufi whirling, which is still practiced by the Sufi Dervishes of the Mevlevi order and other orders such as the Rifa’i-Marufi. It is a customary meditation practice performed within the Sema, or worship ceremony, through which dervishes aim to reach the source of all perfection, or kamal. This is sought through abandoning one’s nafs, egos or personal desires, by listening to the music, focusing on God, and spinning one’s body in repetitive circles, which has been seen as a symbolic imitation of planets in the Solar System orbiting the sun.

Other sufi’s described a conscious connection to the Sun. Alchemylab.com notesOne of Sufism’s major voices was Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi, a thirteenth-century Persian poet. Like the spiritual alchemists of Europe, he described two ways of knowing reality. One is the intellectual (or Solar Consciousness), and the other is intuitive (Lunar Consciousness). For the Western mind, the nature of Lunar Consciousness, which comes from direct illumination and inspiration, is the hardest to understand.

The depth of the metaphysical perspectives of Sufism also can best be seen in a 11th century poet. Khaama.com reports that Abdullah e Ansari was born on 4 May 1006 in Heart. Ansari late in his life was somewhat an unconsidered author, his memory weakened but he had already cleared the way for many disciples to follow in his footsteps.

Khwaja Abdullah Ansari died in Herat the year 1088, and is burial place in Herat is still today a place of pilgrimage for thousands of Sufis and fans. One of his most interesting poems describes some kind of ascension through the various dimensions of life from plant life, to animal, to spirit returning to God.

“From the un-manifest I came, And pitched my tent, in the Forest of Material existence.I passed through mineral and vegetable kingdoms, Then my mental equipment carried me into the animal kingdom; Having reached there I crossed beyond it; Then in the crystal clear shell of human heart I nursed the drop of self in a Pearl, And in association with good men Wandered round the Prayer House, And having experienced that, crossed beyond it; Then I took the road that leads to Him,And became a slave at His gate; Then the duality disappeared And I became absorbed in Him.”

The poem has a tone very similar to that expressed in the Pistis Sophia and many other early Christian texts. It’s amazing how so many of today’s stereotypes have come about by omitting this kind of world history of certain regions. Countless people of the ancient world dedicated their lives to the philosophical journey of pondering the nature of the soul’s path home to the true God, an transcendental idea of truth and one that has found itself under attack.

As Khwaja Ansari lived in his own time off the grid, far from the rulers or archons of his land in the countries capital, so also do some of today’s modern mystics live who all to aware of how histories of religious persecution (and sometimes racial) often repeat themselves in cycles in a world of all things happening under the Sun.

The 1700s brought massive interest in the Sun as well as human rights, revolutions, spiritual ideas as newly formed human societies formed in the aftermath of the little ice age’s passing. As temperature’s heated up, Europe came out of the dark ages and the effect was being seen around the world from one continent to another. Nude bathing became a popular interest in the old world challenging public debate how far this new sudden social craze was going to be allowed to go. As the Sun got hot, so did people and in more ways than one.

Today many religious fanatics cite the founding fathers as proof that America was only founded on certain principles, beliefs or understandings, but how many of them know that our most famous champions for freedom in the new land were followers of the Sun? Mystery schools may have existed at that time to prevent persecutions for their beliefs while some might have been involved in more nefarious agenda to gain political power with their knowledge.

Thomas Paine likewise equated Jesus with the sun in in his “Origins of Free-Masonry: “The Christian religion and Masonry have one and the same common origin, both are derived from the worship of the sun; the difference between their origin is, that the Christian religion is a parody on the worship of the sun, in which they put a man whom they call Christ in the place of the sun, and pay him the same adoration which was originally paid to the sun, as I have shown in the chapter on the origin of the Christian religion.” (Paine, 324)

As if that isn’t enough for someone totally new to some of these ideas, The plot within the Superman movies has often been compared to the story of Jesus, who we know now has been perceived by some humans that came before us, as the Sun/Son – of God. Now a another idea is presented from Ancient-Origins.net that Superman was inspired by ancient Eypt’s story of Horus which already was compared to the story of Jesus.

“Proponents of this theory point to the numerous similarities between the two characters and their lives. For instance, it is claimed that both Heru/Horus and Superman are associated with the Sun. While the former is said to be a solar deity, the latter obtains his power from the Sun. In addition, Horus/Heru lost his father, as did Superman. Furthermore, it has been indicated that both figures came to earth from an advanced civilization to escape from destruction. The theme of resurrection is said to be present in both stories, as Horus/Heru is claimed to have ‘resurrected twice as Asar (Osiris) and as an infant’, while Superman also died and was resurrected in his long-running storyline.

Perhaps the connection is mere coincidental and perhaps the connection has more to do with the abundance of solar deity mythos in our collective consciousness that reemerge throughout the ages either in religion or fiction playing roles of hope for humanity trying to find it’s direction in a world overshadowed by darkness as well as light.

‘Superman 4’ the movie may have been a box office flop, but an ancient mythos plot seemed present as a epic battle of light and dark manifests between two superhuman entities of flight. Lex Luthur, playing the mastermind of evil, creates a solar powered archonic entity to help start world war 3, a agenda Superman tries to prevent. Efforts to block the Sun are made to counter his opponent from being able to recharge as that entity could not hold enough light or energy of it’s own as Superman could. In many ways movies re-manifest spiritual teachings below the surface of the mind’s detection. Some uses of this can help awaken someone to a inner truth and some are used as propaganda to sell concepts and ideas with symbols that’s humans naturally are drawn to. The Sun is a key symbol all of humanity has expressed in some way at some time.

If someone expects that someone else has to have earned a degree in the higher sciences of today’s schools in order be seen as credible when bringing various ideas on the Sun to their awareness, then that person is saying without saying it that the natural man or human in question is incapable of coming to a deeper understanding of the Sun on their own and that they are disconnected from this light of spirit or spirit itself.

They may or may not be honest with why they state why they see that person as incapable of understanding and teaching while leaving alone another human doing something similar who, for whatever reason they and the tribal nature of contemporary society may approve of. Here lies how the illusions of separation and the darkness of ignorance prevents many humans today from receiving these understandings about our Sun.

To continue to study the cycles of the sun in relation to our lifetimes and actions is to embark on a journey of the soul and discovery of our true path home.
